Admission Process
Admission at NIMHANS Bangalore is entirely entrance based conducted by the institute itself. Candidates are offered various courses at PG and doctoral levels for admission at NIMHANS Bangalore.
For admissions to M.D. in Psychiatry:
- Candidates must possess an MBBS degree from a recognized university with minimum of 55% aggregate marks.
- Furthermore, Admission to M.D. in Psychiatry at NIMHANS Bangalore are done on the basis of INI-CET entrance exam conducted by the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) Delhi.
- Candidates will then have to appear for an interview. Admissions to M.D. in Psychiatry will be based on the merit of the qualifying marks in the entrance examination.
For admissions to D.M. and M.Ch. courses:
- Candidates must possess a degree of MD/MS/DNB/DPM from a university recognized.
- Admissions to D.M. and M.Ch. courses are based on the merit of entrance examination conducted by the institute.
