What is Nursing ?

Nursing course information

To enroll in various nursing courses, the eligibility parameter is different. Auxiliary Nurse Midwifery (ANM): To enroll in Auxiliary Nurse Midwifery, the minimum age is of 17 years on or before 31st December and maximum age shouldn’t be more than 35 years. The minimum qualification is 10+2 passed out from a recognized board. General Nursing and Midwifery (GNM): The minimum and maximum age for admission in General Nursing Midwifery is 17 and 35 years respectively. Minimum qualification is 10+2 passed out from a recognized board. B.Sc (Nursing): The minimum qualification for B.Sc (Nursing) is passed out 10+2 from a recognized board with PCB background and English as an elective.

One can also pursue Master and PhD as a part of specialization. Completing higher education in the fields opens numerous job options.

Salary in Nursing

Both Public and Private Sector Banks offer scholarship to the students. Nursing institutions award scholarship to selected meritorious candidates. Government institutions also give fellowship to the students from remote areas or economically backward states. Junior Research Fellow (JRF) and National Eligibility Test (NET) are also available for those who want to pursue higher educations.
